Team Managers

Being a team manager is rewarding and frustrating in equal measure. If you are a team manager you know what a lot you have to do, if you don’t, the list below should enlighten.

For those of you that are parents or spectators, give the Team Manager all the help you can, without them there would be no club.

The Team Manager is accountable for;

TEAM

  • Team Selection
  • Team discipline & behaviour
  • Registration of players with their appropriate League(s) – ALL players must ONLY play in a team relative to their own age group
  • Provision of Registration List to club Football Secretary
  • Arrangement of Fixtures & Referee (Home)
  • Arrangement of Training facilities for the team. These can be other than at Pit Lane or Foxhill but must be by agreement with the committee or will be liable for payment by the team – During summer months and ‘light nights’ all training should be at Pit Lane
  • Playing Kit – cleanliness and presentation
  • Players wear appropriate Shin Pads for both Match/Training
  • That any kit purchased is in the club colours – Green/black striped shirt, black shorts and green socks
  • Behaviour of Parents & Spectators

PLAYING FACILITIES

  • Booking of Home Pitch on a game by game basis with club Football Secretary
  • Preparation of Pitch – Marking Out, Nets and Corner Flags – prior to match
  • Safe Keeping/Return of Nets and Corner Flags – post-match
  • Care and cleanliness of Changing Facilities post match
  • Use of ‘common sense & discretion’ regard to playing in adverse weather conditions – Child Safety is paramount
  • Notifying opposing team manager & referee of cancellations in sufficient time to avoid unnecessary travelling or expense
  • Notifying club Football Secretary of any cancellations
  • Provision of appropriate First Aid kit and Treatment

GENERAL DUTIES

  • Collection and recording of all player subscriptions – Cash to handed in with record sheet at each Monthly Meeting
  • Attendance at Monthly Meeting – 1 st Thursday in every month
  • Support of fundraising events
  • Team Monthly Report
  • Attendance at appropriate League meetings
